Mobile application for UNICEF

The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has been protecting the rights of children and adolescents around the world for more than 70 years, putting the survival, development and happy life of every child at the center of attention. Our team has been cooperating with the Belarusian representative office of the Children's Fund for more than a year and has developed a mobile application.

Its purpose is to educate teenagers about their rights and obligations and to help them find legal aid.

Objective: development of a mobile application for UNICEF.

What interesting things can you find in Advokot?

The application is very useful, but at the same time quite simple - even a child can use it.

... which, in fact, is what it is designed for.

All section navigation is located in the bottom menu. And the main character, a smart and kind Advokot, meets users from the very first screen and helps to find answers to users' questions.

In general, the application can be divided into three main areas.

Legal aid

The user can find the nearest lawyer on the map (there are more than 500 of them in Minsk). There is all the information about the specialist (name, contacts, place of work, experience).
The second way is to use the search list by selecting necessary filters.

Psychological assistance

Even minor problems in the family, school or among friends can be very sensitive to the child.

 — that is why access to psychological support is so important.

There are two ways to contact experts:

  1. chat bot in Telegram (you only need to make 3 clicks and ask your question),
  2. directly call the number listed in the application.

Information remains confidential — whether it is psychological or legal support.

Interactive learning

Teenagers learn about their rights and responsibilities in the game format through situations they may deal with — noisy parties / displeased neighbors, bad habits / smoking in the hallways, etc.

All stories take 2-3 minutes and consist of several short videos.
After each such video, the user must choose the answer, how he would act, and, depending on his choice, the story continues. At the end it will be shown how to act correctly in this situation.

Project uniqueness

Advokot has no analogues in Belarus. Thanks to the application, every child or teenager can receive basic legal and psychological support anywhere in the country using smartphone.
